The white Ford Territory’s, will be operated by a private government contractor rather than a police officer meaning offenders will be unaware they have been caught until a fine arrives in the mail. As though taking public safety out of the hands of the police wasn’t controversial enough, the organisation behind these cameras is partly owned by Macquarie Bank who has recognised the mobile speed camera operation as a lucrative business opportunity  investing $275m to the cause.

Ford Motor Company’s global chief executive Alan Mulally last week confirmed the next Falcon would end the nameplate’s decades-long run as a model designed and developed exclusively in Australia. Designed to enhance rear passenger safety, Ford has unveiled the first passenger-car seatbelt airbags, due for production late next year. In the event of a front or side impact, the seatbelt airbag will inflate in 40 milliseconds, distributing the force across an area five times greater than a regular seatbelt. Ford Falcon to receive 4 cylinder engine

The Ford Falcon will gain a turbocharged four-cylinder engine in a bid to appeal to buyers looking for a more fuel efficient vehicle. The company claims the new turbocharged 2.0-litre direct-injection four-cylinder petrol engine will deliver six-cylinder performance with the fuel consumption and emissions of a small car.
