Suncorp - Exemptions?

Postby greg.preston@mtansw.com.au » Mon Jun 18, 2012 11:50 am

Major issues are now affecting our industry with a dramatic upturn in repairs going to Suncorp owned Capital Smart shops. Suncorp is building its own smash repair industry. MTA is tracking increases in consumer complaints from rectifications.

Suncorp also has exemptions from the ACCC for Exclusive Dealing and Third line forcing. What does this mean ?
Suncorp Policyholders that try to use their choice of repairer may be
1: cash settled on what Suncorp can get the repairs done for, &
2: will forfeit the lifetime repair warranty.

Will cashsettlements be based on their contracted network, that must win 50% of all work quoted or lose their contract
or
will they be based on the heavily subsidised Capital Smart network which Suncorp owns 7,500,000 shares in out of 7,500,000 & 1 shares available?
